Philips Lumileds Lighting currently has an opening for an Occupational Health Programs Manager/Nurse for their San Jose, CA semiconductor facilities. = Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Work related injury/illness evaluation, treatment and investigation support.
  • WKC case management, claim reporting and reserve tracking.
  • Medical emergency response, including MERT management.
  • Ergonomics program management.
  • OSHA recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Facilitation of non occupational fitness for duty evaluations, disability, and return to work
  • Manage occupational health programs such as medical surveillance, blood borne pathogen;etc.
  • Site wellness and health fitness programs.
  • Assessing and communicating health and safety program needs to execute staff.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and certification in Occupational Health Nursing preferred.
  • Current license to practice as a registered nurse in California.
  • Minimum 5 years occupational health nursing experience.
  • Excellent knowledge in clinical nursing and current medical and nursing practices.
  • Previous experience supporting a manufacturing or semiconductor facility a plus.

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH NURSE PRACTITIONER, PER DIEM, BERKELEY

University Health Services (UHS), located at the Tang Center, serves the University of California, Berkeley campus by providing fully accredited primary medical care, sports medicine, mental health, innovative health promotion and health insurance services to students, as well as a variety of faculty and staff health programs and services. Working under the supervision of the Occupational Health Clinic (OHC) manager and with clinical direction and consultation from the Occupational Health Physician, Occupational Health Clinic nurse practitioners provide high quality clinical care to faculty and staff of the University of California for treatment of work-related illness and injury and medical screening and surveillance exams.

Requirements and Qualifications

The successful candidate for this position MUST possess:

  1. California RN licensure, nurse practitioner and/or COHN-S certification, nurse practitioner furnishing number, and DEA number required.

  2. Demonstrates clinical expertise in occupational medicine. A minimum of one year clinical practice in occupational medicine required.

  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  4. Current CPR certification required.

  5. Successful completion of NIOSH spirometry course preferred.

  6. Current certification as an occupational hearing conservationist preferred.

  7. Immunity to rubella, rubeola, and varicella required.

  8. Periodic TB clearance required.

  9. Demonstrates basic computer skills and an aptitude for learning new computer applications for clinical practice. Prior electronic medical record experience preferred.

This position has been designated as sensitive and as such, employment is contingent upon successful clearance of the following prior to the first day of work: Criminal Background Check and acceptable medical evaluation, including infectious disease surveillance and proof of current required vaccination history.

This is a Per Diem position. The hourly salary rate is $49.67.
