The California El Camino Real Association of Occupational
Health Nurses is the local professional association in Santa
Clara County of registered nurses engaged in the practice of
occupational and environmental health nursing. The purposes
of the Association are to:
- Promote and provide continuing education in occupational
and environmental health nursing;
- Promote the scope of practice and standards for
occupational and environmental health nurses;
- Maintain the integrity and character of the nursing
profession;
- Provide a forum for networking and discussion of issues
in the field of occupational and environmental health
nursing;
- Participate in the process of monitoring and influencing
state legislation and regulations;
- Promote occupational and environmental health nursing
through local communications activities;
- Provide opportunities to develop leadership skills.
